When Cleverness Data® strategy meets the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When I became CEO of B&C Technologies, I had to solve quite an important dilemma:

  • As a consumer, I can hardly tolerate to be constantly swamped with digital advertising wherever I get connected.
  • As a business leader, I manage a company that allows brands to send to their clients and prospects, all types of messages, including advertising, on all types of channels.
  • It is complicated to defend a strategy we would be in discord with.

Moreover, leading B&C Technologies since October 2013, I am convinced that the future of personal data market is going to be mangled.

The overexploitation and bad use of our personal data can only generate a strong short-term depreciation of this data market.
Furthermore, I strongly believe that personal data market cannot be exempt from a legislation of its own.
As a matter of fact, connected objects technologies now highlight the risk of drift related to the use of our personal data to such a level that a new regulation is absolutely necessary.

All market players have a role to play in protecting this data which affects us all, whether consumers or brands.
As a software publisher, B&C Technologies must be able to anticipate market evolutions in order to provide its clients adequate solutions at the right time.

This is why, from 2014, B&C Technologies created, presented and defended her Cleverness Data® strategy which is built up in accordance with the following rules :

  • Cleverness Data® is the ability to connect a brand with her consumers and a consumer with his brands, at the customer’s request..
  • Cleverness Data® generate technologies which ensure a high standard of relationship between consumers and brands.
  • Cleverness Data® allows brands to make decisions in accordance with consumers' actions rather than on predictive criteria.
  • Our Cleverness Data® strategy is undoubtedly well-founded.

As a matter of fact, the new European regulation on personal data was adopted on April 14th 2016, published in the Official Journal of the European Union on May 4th 2016, entered into force on May 24th 2016 and has finally been implemented by all market players on May 25th 2018.
This regulation will have a real impact on big data market.

We are pleased to announce our partnership with a law firm specialized in digital law, advanced technologies and Data Protection Act.
This partnership is focused on providing our clients the necessary support to respect this new regulation which shall not be neither disregarded nor avoided.
